Are you Lost?

Is anyone else watching this show? Holy cow, I find myself waiting for a new episode each week like my kids wait for Santa on Christmas Eve. I design my whole evening around it making sure homework is done, kids are bathed and fed including any last minuet snacks that may creep up during my "Lost" time. I don't want to be interrupted! I even TiVo it and start watching about twenty minutes in just so I don't have to suffer through even ONE erectile dysfunction commercial with "Smilin' Bob"..... or any other commercial that would take even one second away from me trying to figure out what in the world is going on with the show.

Even worse, the day after the show airs, I download a couple of Lost podcasts just so I can hear the opinions of all the other junkies like me who have structured their world around Wednesday nights.

Here's the thing about the show. The writing. It's simply amazing and keeps me coming back to find out what the writers initial objective for the entire show was. I'm not talking about an episode, that would be easy. I'm saying that in the very beginning, long before shooting the pilot episode, the writers knew what they wanted to happen all the way through the series. Last night, a storyline was brought to completion.... this particular storyline began three years ago. It took place in such a way that the writers had to have designed it that way from the beginning.

I don't watch any TV show regularly but I've become a captive to this island. If you haven't seen it, watch it. Then go buy the first two seasons on DVD. When you're done catching up, come back here and read the next two words of this post......

You're welcome.
